Job Summary
The Home Associate will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik’s culture by consistently providing “best in class” service to our guests. The main responsibility as a Home Associate will be to build rapport with customers, while maintaining the Home Department. In addition, the Home Associate will assist with limited floral prep work as well.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Serve customers in the Home Department while modeling Sendik’s culture and providing “best in class” customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business

• Engaging with customers in order to create a warm and welcoming environment

• Provide consistent, timely and friendly customer service when answering questions and making suggestions

• Accurately and efficiently document customer orders

• Maintain the Home Department, including, but not limited to, prepping, watering, stocking flower and plants and assisting with merchandising and stocking of gifts

• Assist Floral Designer with design work as needed

• Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Home Department

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures

• Assist with all other Home Department duties as needed

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age due to required operation of Home equipment

• Eagerness to interact with customers

• Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the team

• Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner

• Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision

• Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
