Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Risk Management team as a Risk Management Analyst.  The ideal candidate will have a “client service and learning focus” while supporting the Internal Audit team in completing various audit and consulting projects.  This role requires a thorough knowledge of practices and procedures of the function and the ability to establish relationships with clients throughout Baird.    
As a Risk Management Analyst, you will:

  • Administer annual mandated audits; preparing documentation and coordinating requests for third party auditors, and tracking progress and deliverables for each project.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining data visualizations including internal performance metrics and tracking, recommendation dashboards for senior leaders, and other items as needed. 
  • Assist with running, documenting, and managing ACL Continuous Monitoring (data analytics) scripts and follow-up activities.
  • Learn and administer key Internal Audit Department systems and tools, including HighBond, SharePoint, and the Internal Audit Shared Drive; organizing and updating documentation as required. (Training will be provided)  
  • Work closely with the Internal Audit team throughout the project process.  Assist the team with pulling documents from internal systems (Edoca, PWM Direct, Ops SharePoint, etc.) and creating Executive Summary Reports.
  • Prepare high quality presentation materials for Audit Committee meetings and other events at the direction of the Director of Internal Audit and Internal Audit Senior Manager.
  • Manage onboarding and ongoing system access for team members and third-party providers. 
  • Proofread and correct written material for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and content. A working knowledge of the business is important, and training will be provided. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including projects and other assignments within the broader Risk Department.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of financial services industry experience in advanced office support functions or a combination of education, training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the position.
  • Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, and Outlook, with an interest in and ability to learn   new technologies as needed, including PowerBI, Audit Bond, MS Visio, and others.  SQL and/or PowerBI experience a plus.
  • Excellent grammar, editing and proofing skills required.  Attention to detail and positive can-do attitude a must.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, often under pressure and/or short deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed to ensure work is completed in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to tolerate peak workloads, multiple assignments and produce results with accuracy and reliability.  Ability to demonstrate a calm demeanor and retain composure in stressful situations.  Ability to initiate action and work independently on most tasks.
  • Ability and potential to grow into other Risk Management roles over time.
