Our intern program:
Our intern program offers exposure to the business world and a meaningful work experience. Baird’s summer program includes an Intern Welcome Event in our corporate office in Milwaukee, multiple Lunch & Learns, a Brewer game at Miller Park, Baird Night at the Zoo, and many other informal events. Our interns have the opportunity to use a Baird Cares Day and be compensated to volunteer in the community. They are also eligible to apply for scholarships. Our informal mentor program gives interns an opportunity to network throughout Baird and learn about all the areas of the firm.
 
The Digital Marketing Intern works directly with the Marketing & Communications Digital Marketing team in planning, developing, analyzing and implementing digital programs and efforts to effectively communicate Baird’s messages both internally and externally.

Internship Location, Availability, and Hours:
Located in our downtown Milwaukee office, the intern must be able to work part-time during the school semester, ranging between 15-20 hours per week and full-time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week. We are seeking a student, local to the Milwaukee area, that can start in May 2020.

As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will: 

 
  • Update Baird email campaigns.
  • Assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) research and execution.
  • Conduct research for advertising, media relations and marketing purposes.
  • Assist with content management of Baird’s website properties: Web ad landing pages, video clip postings, Financial Advisor websites and more.
  • Perform other projects and activities as assigned in support of Marketing & Communications Digital Marketing Team.
 
What we look for: 
 
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing or Business with a Digital Focus. Targeting May 2021-May 2022 graduation dates.
  • Completed coursework in one or more of the following: marketing communications, online marketing, web programming, or advertising.
  • Experience with building and/or managing websites using a content management tool.
  • Must be a strategic thinker, a quick study and provide strong customer service.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and manage workload are all must-have skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Basic HTML and some CSS programming experience are desired.
  • General knowledge of web analytics is helpful, but not required.
  • Prior experience in an office setting preferred.
