Job Description
Derco Aerospace, Inc., an industry-leading aerospace distributor of spares, components, and services, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated US Government buyer. Selected individual will be responsible for supporting US Government requirements. The position may occasionally involve some domestic travel and will require relocation to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Specific responsibilities include assisting with formal negotiations (price, schedule, supplier exceptions) to contractual requirements. Actively manage the procurement process from customer request for quote through receipt of material. Provides procurement support for proposal efforts. Review proposals, negotiates prices and terms, analyzes trends, verifies delivery, maintains necessary records and assists with post award audits.

Basic Qualifications
3-5 years of supply chain, logistics or account management work experience in aerospace, military, defense or transportation is required.

Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS)

Must have 2 years experience dealing with US Government documentation and regulations.

Must have worked in a CPSR procurement environment.

Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Desired skills
A college degree or progress toward a college degree is preferred.
Must have Government Procurement experience.
Experience with planning, product sourcing and research, negotiation of prices and terms of delivery with suppliers, solicitation of quotes, creating and entering purchase orders, maintaining inventory levels, new supplier identification, expediting and supplier relations is preferred.
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and basic understanding of other Government agency specific regulations.
Membership in National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and CPCM certification.
