In this PBM Member Services Reporting Advisor you will be a subject matter expert in the Member Services Reporting Team by serving as a lead developer between the CVS Health business, IT community and the PBM Services Reporting team. You will be responsible for design, develop, and production of professional technical applications, extracts, and reporting solutions to meet business needs, as well as developing the process redesign and documentation for new reporting technologies while ensuring strategic alignment to department goals, best business practices and business alignment. As part of Member Services Reporting, you will be a key member in the success and operational structure.

As a leader and SME on technical best practices, you will drive, identify, and plan business and operational tasks, as well as the scope, constraints, and dependencies of the tasks in projects drive actionable and value-added reports and visualization tools. In this role, you will be handling end-to-end requirements ownership associated with projects and project planning for the PBM Members Services area. This includes reviewing test plans, results, and the resolution of test incidents. The Advisor is responsible for overseeing, driving, organizing, documenting, reporting and ensuring urgent resolution of cases supported by the PBM Member Services Reporting Team.

Additional responsibilities of the Advisor - Reporting include:
* Responding to user requests for new tables, procedures, views and reports.
* Designing, developing, implementing and tuning complex enterprise level reporting database systems
* Supporting the development and maintenance of existing and new application requests
* Providing support for production systems, including rotational on-call support, when required.
* Design, code, test, debug, document, deploy, and support solutions that ultimately improve health outcome, quality of care, and patient safety. This includes the timely handling of all CMS/Compliance and SLA reporting requirements

Required Qualifications
A minimum requirement of 5+ years of experience with below qualifications:
* Microsoft SQL Server database development experience, troubleshooting, tuning Microsoft SQL and proficiency with database query optimizations
* Senior-level experience with SSIS, SSRS is essential.
* Experience and proficiency with SQL Server 2014/2016 versions
* Strong knowledge of writing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and views for ad-hoc, and recurring standard reports or file builds
* Understanding and exposure of multiple RDBMS, as well as complex SQL Report Development skills across a variety of Database platforms such as Oracle and Teradata.
* Database design and working knowledge of logical and physical data models.

Preferred Qualifications
* Have an understanding of business process improvement, project management and quality practices
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Software Development Life Cycle process experience and knowledge to insure the delivery of a quality reporting application with the appropriate documentations and on-going support
* Ability to be a mentor to less experienced Reporting team members to drive compliance for best practices, methods, standards and processes
* Prior experience with PBM services, insurance, or healthcare
* Preference will be given to those with significant experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
* The success of this position is directly coupled to bringing SQL development best practices to build manageable, scalable, and high-performance SQL code
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with tight timeframes
* Understanding of functionality -- business analytics software such as Cognos, Crystal, Business Objects, or Tableau
* Experience with CVS Caremark internal systems such as RxClaim, PeopleSafe, Avaya, SPARCS, SPRx or CAS
* Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to and fielding questions from PBM Business Partners

Education
* Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience may be considered.
