The Second Cook is responsible for:

· Preparation of room service meals, vegetables, salads, and specialty items for patients, employee dining room and the Patio Cafe meals.

· Cleaning and restocking work areas.

This position requires:

· Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· ServSafe and DOH Food Handlers Certificates required. Expired certifications must be recertified within 6 months of employment.

· 3 years' experience in institutional, restaurant, or food service setting with knowledge in quality food preparation, cooking techniques, presentation, and customer service.

· Culinary degree or certification preferred.

· Standing for long periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
