* Coordinating procedure scheduling directly with physicians, physician office personnel and patients.

* Contacting insurance companies directly to complete:
Benefit coverage verification
Policy limitations
Pre-service authorizations
Pre-service certification of benefit coverage
Pre-service collection * Obtaining accurate patient demographic and health insurance information for entry into hospital's computer system.

General Qualifications

* High School diploma or equivalent.

* Demonstrated computer skills

* Previous experience working in a healthcare environment


Desired Qualifications

* Good understanding of medical terminology.

* Previous experience working with insurances and third party payors.

* Previous experience scheduling in a healthcare environment.
