The Director of Nursing is responsible and accountable for the overall management of nursing practice, nursing education, professional development, nursing research and nursing services within Surgical Intensive Care Unit and 32 bed acute care Trauma Unit. This position represents the needs of professional nursing as a member of the hospitals management team is a leader in the operational effectiveness of the hospital. Participates as a leader in strategic planning of the hospital and the provision of nursing care both house wide and for specific clinical units. Reports to the CNO and participates with the CNO to develop strategic priorities define fiscal parameters prioritize agendas for nursing patient care.
Requires a Masters Degree in Nursing Business or management current WI RN license and 3-5 years clinical nursing experience. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and have strong analytical skills
