Job: Special Event Manager/Outside Sales Consultant

Lakes Area Rental is an award-winning, nationally recognized rental company specializing in the sales and service of special event, tool and equipment rental with a results-driven culture. We are seeking the best-of-the-best, dynamic Special Event Manager/Outside Sales Consultant to join our company. Responsible for working with clients to establish and fulfill their rental needs, this proven performer will:

Lead and facilitate
-assistance of clients in preparation of and maintenance of rental reservations/quotes/estimates for events of all sizes
-completion and maintenance of a variety of paperwork and permits
-working with client walk-ins (consultations, rental item pickup(s) and returns)
-facilitation of outgoing sales calls promoting the rental concept via telephone and outside sales
-maintenance of communication and follow-up with clients
-attendance of rental/bridal/event shows as Lakes Area Rental business representative
-maintenance of and continued development of strong business relationships with clients
-possible attendance of and photographing of events
-assistance and creation of in-store promotions
-provision of seasonal showroom changeover
-possible site surveys/inspections
-possible designing of site layouts
-coordination of outsourced vendors as necessary

-Minimum of 3+ years of relevant event consulting/planning/sales experience
-Thorough knowledge and understanding of event intricacies
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to multi task and achieve maximum results with minimal direction
-Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook (Training on Rental Software Provided)
-Comfort in utilizing the internet for communication and research
-Energetic and Approachable
-Professional and Clean appearance
-Prior Excellent Customer Service experience required
-Saturday work required, seasonally Sunday work may be required
-Detail Oriented
