·College Degree ·4-5 years proven experience in an administrative operations environment Other Information Incumbent must have strong proven leadership, supply chain management, and analytical skills.& Components of the supply chain management include: strong negotiation skills, effective vendor relationship management, procure-to-pay process, spend management analysis reporting, and strategic 5-yr planning.& Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of the entire Purchasing, Vendor Management, and Warehouse responsibilities for the corporation.& These activities are strategic and should be managed and implemented in a manner consistent with purchasing best practices.& SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: # of Vendor Relationships Managed:& & 15,000 Overall Vendor Spend:& & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & $110,000,000 Direct Management of Four Groups:& & Purchasing Services & Products & Facilities Support & Project/Purchasing Support Indirect Reports:& & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & 20 ¿ 25 employees SPECIFIC DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1) Coordinate all facets of supply management activities between division business unit and their suppliers. 2) Oversee, negotiate and manage contracts and agreements for assigned commodities. 3) Identify and recommend appropriate sourcing strategies to control the company¿s purchased material costs and to assure an adequate source of supply. 4) Implement cost savings through reduced expenditures on operating goods and services. 5) Leveraging consolidated purchases across the entire corporation. 6) Seek solutions to bypass laborious process by allowing end users to procure low-value items directly from suppliers.& 7) Establish short and long-term goals that facilitate a cost-effective operation that exceeds established customer service levels. 8) Review and recommend new methods and procedures to make department operations more efficient. 9) Assist in the creation of integrated processes among Operations, Purchasing, various Internal Departments and outside Suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process.& 10) Identify and recommend reengineering efforts as it relates to supply chain planning and execution systems. 11) Manage and control functional expenses that support the pricing model for services provided. 12) Responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and analyzing vendor contracts. 13) Develop materials for ISO employee training to prevent loss of certification, coaching managerial and staff, and maintain attendance records. 14) Implementation of OSHA requirements for products and services to ensure compliance and employee safety. 15) Ensure the Purchasing Department is adequately staffed, that all personnel are properly trained, and that talent levels match the expectations of senior management based on the size and potential growth of function. 16) Motivate, coach, and mentor managerial and professional staff to include leadership training and succession plans for key personnel. 17) Exercise managerial authority concerning budget process, staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.& 18) Monitor compliance with legal and internal audit and operational requirements. 19) Manage sourcing strategies to control the company¿s purchased material costs and to This job posting is no longer available on Jobing.com.
