Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor¿s degree is required, preferable in business, economics, finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years professional work experience in a related field Other Information SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Incumbent will conduct investment manager due diligence process, including search, evaluation and selection of traditional investment strategies.& The incumbent actively monitor a roster of strategies in several asset classes (fixed income and equities).& The incumbent will manage the relationship of a number of important outside investment firms. Business Acumen= Transactional Complexity= Low to Moderate Level of Independence= Activities Supervised & Reviewed Number of strategies= 25-40 Number of investment firms= 10-30 Assets under Management = $500 million - $1 billion SPECIFIC DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1.Conducts proactive and thorough analysis that ultimately results in the selection of traditional investment strategies, including separate accounts and commingled trusts, which are appropriate within client accounts.& 2.Prepares written documentation and analysis that support investment manager recommendations. 3.Conduct productive manager interviews. 4.Actively monitors a number of the preferred investment strategies utilized in client accounts and M&I asset allocation model portfolios.& 5.Communicate manager analysis and strategy information to internal clients.& Report in oral and written form the additions or deletions or investment strategies and any material changes at an investment firm. 6.Maintain positive working relationships with important outside investment firms, but employ a consistent and objective evaluation of investment firms and strategies. 7.Continue to develop and refine investment and manager due diligence knowledge and skills. 8.May serve on various investment committees and project teams as required.& 9.Other duties may be assigned as needed. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor¿s degree is required, preferable in business, economics, finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years professional work experience in a related field ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: ¿Typically has at least 5 year of investment experience, including 3 years of experience evaluating investment managers. ¿A graduate degree (e.g., MBA) or a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation would be beneficial ¿Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong understanding of economic and capital markets. ¿Able to explain difficult concepts in an understandable way to various audiences ¿Skilled in the use of investment analytic software (e.g., Morningstar, Zephyr, eVestment etc.) ¿Demonstrates excellent project skills with the ability to function effectively within deadlines. ¿Strong written and oral communication skills. ¿Experience using a personal computer with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Word. ¿Must be able to thrive in a collegial work environment.
