Job Description

Acts in a lead capacity over the Cooks and Food Service workers in the preparation of quality food for patient, cafeteria, special functions and Mobile Meals. Position includes purchasing responsibilities, menu planning, writing of policies and procedures, performs quality control audits, employee scheduling and other duties as dictated.

General Qualifications

Associate degree in Restaurant and Hotel Cookery required. Completion of American Dietetic Association Food Service Supervisor course and previous leadership and/or supervisory experience strongly preferred. A minimum of one-year experience as an Assistant Chef required. Must be proficient in meat roasting and preparation of sauces, gravies, vegetables, meats, cereal, hors d'oeuvres, eggs, soup, casseroles, frying, broiling, steaming, baking and grilling. The ability to perform responsibilities in a self-directed environment and excellent customer service skills are essential.
