Job Description

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE PACKAGING CENTER
Imagine yourself . . .


*Assisting the registered Pharmacist in preparation and dispensing of medications per written order of a physician.*
*Performing duties as courier for the Pharmacy.*
*Answering the Pharmacy telephone, triaging calls to the appropriate individual.*
*Completing PRN cards and Stats and setting them aside for checking by a Pharmacist, typing Road Maps and having them reviewed by a Pharmacist.*
*Processing delivered wholesale orders. Responsible for adhering to established Service Standards and Service Management Standards.*
*Performing monthly inspections of stock areas, maintaining drug cabinets in a neat and orderly manner, removes outdated and unusable items, and assisting in notifying Central Pharmacy of special packaging needs.*
*Performing other duties as assigned.*

General Qualifications

*High school diploma or equivalent.*
*Pharmacy experience.*
*Pharmaceutical/medical terminology preferred.*
*Personal computer software and/or mainframe experience. Demonstrated math skills.*
*Completion of Pharmacy Training program desired.*
