Job Description

Imagine yourself working with this team… The Manager Clinic Operations manages the overall operations of the business office, customer service and practice management functions ensuring effective and efficient operations. Responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing policies and procedures, budget, and staffing for areas of responsibility (including: billing / patient accounts, customer service, medical records / coding and clerical services). Imagine yourself… Managing business office activities which include: patient scheduling / registration, insurance collection, patient accounts, reception, data entry, and medical records ensuring a high level of productivity. Planing, organizing and implementing system changes and improvements related to areas of responsibility.
Communicating with patients, physicians, government agencies, insurance companies, and staff for the purpose of patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, insurance billing and complex problem solving.
Ensuring accurate compilation of patient registration information, including data related to patient demographics, third party insurance information and referral data.
Ensuring timely claims submission and coordinating efforts with the centralized business office, billing inquires, payment plans on outstanding accounts, and maintaining awareness on internal / external environmental changes affecting the billing process.
Developing and implementing methods to ensure that established accounts receivable goals and objectives are achieved.
Monitoring all medical records area functions such as: quantitative and qualitative analysis of medical records, coding, release of confidential medical information, transcription, and submission of data to the business office for billing and/or reimbursement purposes.
Developing, implementing, and updating policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient workflow of areas of responsibility.



Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications

Knowledge of accounting, business administration, or other related field equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited bachelor's degree program.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in a business office for a large or multi-site physician practice that includes experiences in patient accounts, physician billing, medical records, automated patient registration, customer service, third party insurance and practice management. Additionally, a minimum of two to five years leadership experience including management of staff, budgets and multiple human resources functions at the supervisor or manager level.
Intermediate computer skills with computerized physician billing and scheduling systems, Microsoft office products, and electronic mail.
Ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently within a large physician based health care facility with numerous specialties.
Demonstrated leadership, organization, and human relations skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of patients, visitors, staff and leadership.
* Exceptional customer service and problem resolution skills.
