Job Title Medical Assistant Physiatry, Mayfair Clinic Building Code MY-Aurora Health Center, Mayfair Address 10400 W North Ave City Wauwatosa # Hours Per Pay Period (Bi-weekly) 40 Schedule Tue-Fri 12-5 may vary Req # (optional) 64107BR Explore a Career In Physiatry (Rehab) Job Description Imagine yourself working with this team… At Aurora Health Care our Medical Assistants work alongside physicians by performing various tasks and assisting with all aspects of patient care including basic lab and screening procedures, as appropriate. Imagine yourself… *Performing basic lab and screening procedures. *Preparing patients for exams and assisting physicians with exams and procedures. *Obtaining and recording vital signs. *Organizing and preparing exam rooms, lab, and work areas. *Performing EKGs, vision testing, tympanograms, and basic lab procedures including urine collection and drawing of blood samples. *Administering IM, SQ, and intradermal injections per physician order. Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent. *Graduation from an approved Medical Assistant training program or a minimum of five years experience working as a medical assistant in a clinic environment. * Demonstrated competency in performing: injections, immunizations, EKG, blood pressure checks, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and phlebotomy. * Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within six months of hire. *Excellent customer service skills essential. Ability to effectively communicate (both orally and in writing) with physicians, staff, and patients. *Proficiency using Microsoft office products, electronic mail and electronic medical record systems. Desired Qualifications *One year related clinical experience preferred.
