As Manager Value Analysis Medical & Surgical at Aurora Health Care, imagine yourself *Coordinating all recommendations for additions, deletions, changes, and standardization of products supplied for broad organizational consumption. *Facilitating the evaluation and selection of medical/surgical and administrative products for clinical performance and quality service. *Conducting, coordinating, documenting, communicating and overseeing the process of new product implementation and GPO product conversion to all corporate facilities. *Participating and representing Corporate Purchasing by serving as a co-chair of local, regional and/or system-wide Value Analysis Teams (VATs) or products committees as required. *Working with Corporate Distribution to ensure effective distribution of medical/surgical supplies for optimal balance of inventory during conversion. *Ensuring that products, services and systems selected comply with established hospital policies and procedures. *Providing advice and guidance to hospital personnel in policy interpretations and related product standardization and contracting matters. *Developing and monitoring consistent customer feedback systems to ensure the timely and consistent reporting of product implementations and conversions. *Consulting with other departments for materials management, purchasing, information systems, receiving and logistics issues. *Establishing procedures for the most effective methods to in-service and train the appropriate staff members during a product implementation or conversion. *Coordinating education and training to hospital and departmental staff, administrators, and department heads in product implementation and conversions. *Staying current on product-related market conditions and new products. Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
*Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the State of Wisconsin required. *Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), Health Science or related field preferred. *Minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience preferably in a health care system. Previous experience in a leadership position. *Proven expertise in the following areas: purchasing, product evaluation, product sourcing, vendor credentialing or health care sales. *A strong drive to create a superior service organization which will ensure quality and commitment to user satisfaction. This will require a change agent who is able to effectively convince employees of the need to do things in a different manner. *Must have excellent communication, human relations, and analytical skills and be self-motivated with the ability to independently schedule, organize, and manage staff. *Functions independently within a broad scope of guidelines and established policies and goals. *Possesses strong analytical skills necessary to make sound decisions and recommendations based on data analysis. *Demonstrated strong leadership and management ability. *Excellent oral and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. *Possesses strong analytical skills necessary to make sound decisions and recommendations based on data analysis. *Computer literacy of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
