Job Type: Scheduled Full Time Location: MENOMONEE FALLS, WI Regular Scheduled Hours: 0800-1630 Position Location: Woodland Prime On Call?: General Summary: Responsible for the acquisition of needed supplies, equipment, and services in a timely manner ensuring price, quality, and delivery. Serves as resource to departments regarding procurement practices that contribute to sound decision making for supplies, equipment, and services that meet customer needs in a cost effective manner. Analyzes vendor proposals and contracts, and negotiates and enters into agreements on behalf of FCH, Inc. Advocate for standardization and cost effectiveness. Serves as a liaison between vendor/sales personnel and hospital, staff, and physicians. Essential Functions - Position Specific Reviews, forecasts, plans, and establishes sufficient stock levels to meet the needs of the hospital and affiliates. Initiates purchase orders as appropriate. Makes every purchase with due regard to price, quality, service, and required delivery. Prepares RFPs and bid documents for multiple sourcing and competitive bidding. Provides Supply Chain support to the Value Analysis Committee and sub-committees. Continually screens contracts and products in search of the best value and highest quality. Prepares and presents price comparisons and reports for committee consideration. Records cost savings and cost avoidance savings achieved. EXPERIENCE: Three years hospital purchasing/materials management, or related experience required. SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Office equipment (i.e., computer, printer, calculator, facsimile, copiers). Basic typing skills, basic microcomputer skills/Microsoft applications. Skilled at negotiations. Excellent verbal and written skills. MMIS applications familiarity. Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, and the Lawson Materials Management System is preferred. EDUCATION: High school education or equivalent required. BA, BS, or Associate degree in Purchasing, Materials Management, or Finance is preferred. We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
