Position Description

Argus Technical Services is seeking a Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer for a contract (very good chance of going direct, most likely after 6 months) position with a client in the Menomonee Falls, WI. area. This individual will design and test electrical pneumatic and hydraulic components, equipment and systems.. This person will be responsible for designing controls equipment, facilities, components, products and drive systems for industrial machinery. This individual will also design and direct engineering person in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment. This person will develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for industrial machinery. This individual will program PLC's (mainly Rockwell brand, some Siemens Step 7 as well), Wonderware and WIN CC HMI operator interface units, and drives systems with PC based software. This person will also plan electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, drive systems and controls. This individual will direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations. Travel will be 10-25%. This person will use computer assisted engineering (SOLIDWORKS experience is preferred, but would consider other 3-D CAD experience). The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (would consider non-degreed candidates with applicable experience) and have a min. of 5 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge and experience with Rockwell and/or Siemens drive systems, PLC's, and operator interface devices. Candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
