You will have opportunity to takes part in administrative and management meetings and be responsible for seeking out specific and substantial studies and projects across the system. *Contributing to the work of administrative units within Aurora Health Care by becoming part of the work unit team designated to carry out assigned work within the rotation; assuming role assignments as needed. Managing and communicating progress toward completing projects. Offering information and perspectives regarding current trends and issues to stimulate new ideas and thinking. *Building a broad range of healthcare management skills as you work with physicians, administrative colleagues and allied health staff to promote the team concept of medicine at Aurora. Directing or leading the work of others in a work group or task force, and contributing to committee work that is related to rotation assignment. Describing and integrating the functions and relationships of the following in support of the Aurora vision: *Practice, education and research. *Inpatient and outpatient settings. *Physicians, administrators and other allied health staff. *Hiring, training, retaining and terminating employees. *Costs, charges, revenue, providers and payors. *Seeking ways to continuously improve processes and outcomes necessary to provide patient care. Studying and applying improvement methodologies including data collection and analysis, group facilitation and implementation strategies. *Adding depth and value to the Administrative Training Program through actions such as recruitment, benchmarking, orientation and group learning. *Meeting with the leadership on a regular basis to discuss the fellowship experience and to report on progress of current projects. *Participating in the system's strategic planning process. *Assisting in development of other programs and services as assigned. *Working closely with the CEO and Executive Vice President, the administrative team, management team and the medical staff and attending relevant meetings involving these groups. *Being responsible for understanding and adhering to the Aurora Health Care Code of Excellence and for ensuring personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws that affect Aurora's business. General Qualifications
*Advanced level knowledge of healthcare administration, public health, or business administration, equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited master's degree program. *Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through two years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare. *Leadership experience should include management of staff, budgets and multiple human resources functions at the manager level. *Must possess skills, aptitude and interest in attaining executive level within the health care field.
