We have an exciting opportunity available Systems Administrator, with the option to be based in Stevens Point, Marshfield, or Appleton, Wisconsin.


This is a unique opportunity to provide your industry expertise in a progressive not-for-profit, mission-driven healthcare environment. In this role, you will design, install, administer, and optimize company servers, storage environments and related components to achieve high performance of the various business applications supported by tuning the servers as necessary. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing monitoring and management of the server environment. Where applicable, you will assist in overseeing the physical security, integrity, and safety of the data center/server farm.


Administer the Citrix Server and Web Server Farms, NT/Exchange database, antivirus management, and error log tracking.
Manage servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
Install, configure, and initiate Microsoft NT/Exchange servers, software, and any other corresponding equipment.
Coordinate with network engineering, business application, and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of systems to meet business objectives.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software problems, including end user desktop PCs and enterprise data servers.
Analyze e-mail system or application usage and plan for growth or increases in network capacity.
Participate in the design and review of new Windows systems and Windows-based application server deployments.
Additional responsibilities include disaster recovery planning and execution activities, performing server and security audits, system backups and recovery, and more!

This position requires:


A four year degree at an accredited university or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated network equipment, including SCSI, RAID, and I/O topology.
5 years experience with Windows Server platform(s) required, as well as strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server relational database(s).
Familiarity with network protocols (specifically TCP/IP), firewall management, and operating system configuration.
General knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS, as well as Active Directory/Global Catalog.
Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
Project management skills a definite asset.
This role may be required to be an on-call rotation and/or be available off-hours as needed.
