Chaplain - POOL HOURS - VARIOUS DAYS/SHIFTS- COMMUNITY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Provides pastoral care to patients, their families, and hospital personnel in cooperation with parish clergy and others, addressing spiritual needs which surface relative to accidents, illness, crisis, and death.

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Ordination or commissioning to function in a ministry of pastoral care by an appropriate religious authority. Ecclesiastical endorsement by a faith group. Certified in the College of Chaplains, the National Association of Catholic Chaplains, or similar national certification organization. Word processing, microcomputer.

EDUCATION: Master of Divinity or its equivalent; satisfactory completion of four units of clinical training accredited by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), the US Catholic Conference, National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or its equivalent; one year of supervised work residency required.

EXPERIENCE: Three to five years active parish or chaplaincy work required.
