HEM ONC AREA(a): Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of primary patient in the Hem Onc exam area clinic working with the MD's, telephone triage, patient teaching, care coordination. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a program at an accredited School of Nursing. Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 2 years direct patient care in an medical/surgical setting. Minimum of 1 year experience in oncology. Froedtert Chemotherapy certification required within 6 months of hire. OCN certification within 12 months of hire. Ability to maintain clinical expertise. Knowledge and understanding of the Oncology Standards of Nursing Practice. Interpersonal skills necessary to instruct and comfort patients and their families, and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel. Analytical skills necessary to prepare nursing plans of care, implement effective nursing care and develop solutions to problems concerning patients' mental or physical well-being.

HEM ONC INFUSION AREA(b): The Day Hospital Infusion Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care specific to infusion therapy for an identified group of primary patients Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a program at an accredited School of Nursing. Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 2 years direct patient care in an medical/surgical setting. Minimum of 1 year experience in oncology or infusion therapy. Froedtert Chemotherapy certification required within 6 months of hire. OCN and ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire. Documented competency in the technical skills necessary to provide infusion therapy including central lines, ports, and IV placement. Ability to maintain clinical expertise. Knowledge and understanding of the Oncology Standards of Nursing Practice and the Infusion Standards of Nursing Practice. Interpersonal skills necessary to instruct and comfort patients and their families, and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel. Analytical skills necessary to prepare nursing plans of care, implement effective nursing care and develop solutions to problems concerning patients' mental or physical well-being.
