Job: Commercial Loan Operations Manager

First Bank Financial Centre is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Operations Manager at our corporate office in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

This role will be responsible for the overall management of commercial loan transactions and processing of loan documents. The primary responsibilities for this role will be to provide leadership and development to the commercial loan processing team members, to provide technical expertise regarding the processing and servicing of commercial loans, and to ensure regulatory compliance of the commercial loan processing department.

Managing and Developing Staff

Effectively trains and coaches staff for improved performance.

Leads by example and helps to create a positive environment.

Hold regular meetings to keep staff informed of expectations and changes in processes and/or procedures.

Regularly documents performance and prepares and administers performance evaluations within two weeks of an employee’s anniversary.

Technical Expertise

Oversees the processing of commercial loan documents.

Identifies, recommends and participates in the implementation and training of policies, procedures, software, systems and processes.

Oversees pre and post closing functions for commercial loan processing to include document preparation, disbursements, set ups, securing Bank’s lien position, clearing of exceptions, and maintenance of all new, renewed and paid commercial loan files.

Provides customer service and support for loan questions on both existing and upcoming loans to commercial loan processors, lenders, branch staff and external customers.

Oversees the preparation of commercial notes and supporting documents

Ensures the disbursement of commercial loans including SBA and letters of credit are timely

Legal and Regulatory Requirements Knowledge

Ensures compliance with state and federal laws, regulations and Bank lending policies and procedures.

Miscellaneous

Provides assistance to management in preparation of audits and exams.

Participates in project work.

Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate.

Bachelors degree in a business related field

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial loan processing environment

Extensive knowledge of commercial lending practices and requirements

Knowledge of state and federal lending regulatory and compliance requirements

Previous supervisory experience preferred
