Job: Personal Banker

The Personal Banker is responsible for establishing relationships with customers by meeting a broad range of financial service needs. The Personal Banker will provide banking products and services to customers by actively soliciting and opening new accounts of both deposit and consumer loan products. This position will also be involved in completing customer applications for home loans.

Position Expectations:
New Accounts

Provides personal banking account recommendations, including referrals for non-traditional investments and other information to assigned customers.

Assists New Accounts Representatives, as needed, to open, maintain and close all deposit products and services.

Researches and performs account and customer related changes as requested.

Pursues sales opportunities and cross sells bank products and services as appropriate.

Refers customers to other areas of First Bank Financial Centre as appropriate.

Lending

Originates consumer loans.

Originates new and existing 1st mortgages, home equity loans, and home equity lines of credit.

Additional Duties

Process stop payments.

Process wire transfers/fund transfers.

Place check orders.

Follows all regulatory requirements and procedures.

Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate.

High School Diploma or GED

A minimum of 2 years experience in retail banking activities, including teller transactions and opening new accounts

A minimum of 1 year of lending experience

Proficient with MS Office products including Word and Excel

College degree strongly preferred
