Jobing Description
This position to be filled by an RN.The RN is a patient caregiver who under the direct supervision of a provider, delivers basic nursing care to patients in the Urgent Care setting. The RN delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the department. Maintains responsibility triaging patient to determine urgent/level of care. The RN also assists with tasks necessary for the general organization and operation of the urgent care setting.The registered nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. While following established standards and protocols, the Registered Nurse delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the department. Triages telephone and walk in patients demonstrating appropriate clinical judgment and intervention according to urgency of patient needs. The RN supervises and or delegates select aspects of care to other appropriate healthcare providers based on competency of the individual and the assessment and evaluation of the patient needs. The RN also assists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of the providers in the urgent care setting.
Skills / Requirements
Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing and holding current Wisconsin Licensure. Minimum of one (1) year experience as an RN urgent or ER experience preferred. Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling to meeting the needs of the patient, physician and department. Ability to utilize effective communication in patient/staff/physician relationships. Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers is required. Basic personal computer skills with keyboard knowledge preferred. This is a position for the Urgent Care Department. This is a part-time position working 40 hours in a 2 week pay period with weekend rotation required. Scheduled between 8:00 am & 9:00 pm
