Job: Neonatal Respiratory Therapist

Initiates and performs Respiratory Care procedures in the NICU in accordance with all quality and safety standards and maintains collaborative competencies with Registered Nurses to assure an interactive team approach.Acts as a team member and collaborates in a positive manner towards the success of departmental and hospital goals. Demonstrates critical-thinking, decision-making skills and professional development. Performs respiratory Care procedures in the NICU as assigned and acts a resource/consultant for nursing. Communicates and collaborates effectively in a timely manner and maintains good working relationships with department staff, peers, other healthcare personnel and medical staff. This position may be either 12hr Dayshift shifts with rotating weekends or 12hr Dayshift Weekend Program.

CRT certification required. CPR and NRP certification(within 6 months of hire). Problem solving and decision making for patient care and equipment use; ability to handle the stress associated with high workload, STAT situations, and multiple duties. Ability to work well with others. Good mechanical aptitude and self-motivation skills are required.This position may be either 12hr Dayshift shifts with rotating weekends or 12hr Dayshift Weekend Program.
