Job: Cardiac Diagnostic Unit Tech

The CDU Technician is responsible for providing CDU Department services. The CDU technician assists physicians in cardiac testing, performs CDU testing, applies & removes Holter & event recorders. Each patient is treated with absolute respect for their personal dignity as dictated by St. Francis Hospital Mission and Values statements.

*Performs electrocardiograms, holter monitor application, event recorder application/monitoring, and exercise/pharmacological stress testing per physician order and established protocol.•Demonstrates ability to assess patient cardiac history and performs preliminary procedures prior to testing.•Monitors and documents patient information during procedures.•Ability to prioritize patient care and shift responsibilities. *This position will be full-time during orientation/training and then pool hours as needed based on operational needs.
