Position Objective:
Training Coordinator is accountable for successful design, development, and delivery of learning solutions. This role facilitates intermediate learning activities and collaboratively with other associates to design and develop learning solutions that are delivered through classroom Instructor Led Training, CBT, or webinars.
Primary Responsibilities
Support implementation and administration of programs/projects
- Coordinate Executive & Associate training process and implementation by establishing a timely and cost effective delivery and printing of program material.
- Monitors pre-opening training payroll and prepares and forecasts expense budgets to ensure all new stores come in at or under budget.
- Continually communicates with new store Trainers, Executives and District Managers throughout the pre-opening process to ensure training is being properly scheduled, completed and tracked.
- Update and maintain LMS and monitor learning activity evaluation data to verify impact and recommend actions to ensure expectations are being met.
- Partners with Corporate divisions regarding new store technology and construction timelines which may impact training; develops strategies to ensure minimal disruption is caused to training timeline.
- Coaches new store Trainers through the pre-opening process while ensuring the integrity of all training programs; responds to all questions in a timely manner and expedites resolution to ensure timeline for training completion is not disrupted.
- Creates materials and monitors process for the New Store Executive Learning Experience; partners with Staffing Offices to ensure training program duration meets the OSA criteria for budgeting purposes.
Develop Training Materials
- Partners with OSA to create and implement training materials
- Facilitate basic and intermediate level content in the classroom and virtually using standard and more advanced techniques such as role playing and simulations.
- Develop aesthetic, well-designed basic to intermediate learning activities for a variety of delivery methods including eLearning, instructor led, job aids and reference materials.
- Create designs or specifications for learning activities including approach and materials.
- Keeps abreast of innovative instructional design techniques, learning approaches and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of training experience
- 1-3 years of retail experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with one-on-one, written and large group facilitation
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Bachelor Degree in a related field or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in learning design tools (Articulate, Captivate, or Indesign).
- Demonstrated proficiency of instructional design techniques, facilitation techniques and project management.
Special Requirements:
- Flexible schedule to accommodate business needs (after hour email, hotline, and phone).
- Some travel required
