As Vice President Employee & Organizational Development, imagine yourself... *Setting the vision and crafting the implementation plan for the entire talent management infrastructure and leading this curriculum (including best in class on-boarding, mentoring, action learning, and value-added skill building tools for key groups across the organization). *Collaborating with human resource leaders to ensure consistent and effective design, development and implementation of corporate leadership development and learning programs, succession planning, and other processes. *Consulting with and coaching leadership on designing and implementing solutions to help them achieve their business results. Working closely with senior leaders and business unit managers to develop a series of exemplar leadership skills, abilities and experiences to enable candidates to be promoted into key leadership positions. *Overseeing all components of ongoing employee training programs, cost effective educational opportunities for employees, and the advancement of educational technology across the system and evaluating and presenting the effectiveness /ROI of these programs, support, and services. *Being a visible leader in a non-profit or community based organization, dedicate community service hours or serve in relevant professional organizations. Encouraging team members to participate in similar community activities. *Leading the Organizational Development staff which includes interviewing and selection of new employees; promotions; staff development; performance evaluations; pay adjustments; resolution of employee concerns; disciplinary counseling; terminations, and general management of employee morale. *Leading overall framework and delivery of succession planning and talent management. This includes enterprise talent reviews, human capital metrics, talent development strategies and integration of human capital analytical systems. *Assisting HR leadership throughout the system in leading change management initiatives. *Monitoring trends in the market while interfacing with appropriate external resources. Serving as an external liaison with vendors, industry affiliations, professional organizations, and other OD/Leadership development professionals in order to maintain Aurora's “employer of choice” image. Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
*Master's degree in Business, OD, Human Resource Development/Management or the equivalent education and experience. Ph.D. is a plus. *Advanced knowledge of human resource management, organizational development, and instructional design with more than 15 years of progressive experience leading major OD initiatives across a large, multi-site enterprise. Prior experience serving as the top OD executive of a complex, services-driven organization is preferred. *Demonstrated leadership skills and knowledge of employee on-boarding, employee engagement, service management, change management, cultural transformation, employee surveys and assessment, career development, leadership and executive development, team building, and strategic planning. *A strong business orientation with significant experience leading and implementing change management initiatives across all levels of the organization with a small team. *Experience working with senior executives to structure and lead an effective and broad-based OD/LD strategy and a track record of launching programs and delivering results to optimize the overall human capital management. *Excellent presentation analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and negotiating skills. *High degree of comfort managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
