Due to our commitment to shared governance and shared decision-making, our Physician Assistants work alongside physicians and are intimately involved with problem solving and decision-making. They perform history and physical examinations on new and return patients. Establish presumptive diagnosis, establish the general work-up of the patient by ordering appropriate laboratory studies and are responsible, under a physician's supervision, for the management of the patient's problems following diagnosis. Imagine yourself… Providing primary health care services to individuals and their families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic problems, under the supervision of a licensed physician. Working autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems. Serving as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
Completion of a Physician Assistant program approved by the American Medical Association required. Must have previous clinical experience in assigned specialty. Ability to work as a member of a health care team. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively. Desired Qualifications Minimum two years of previous experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
