Job: Bakery/Deli Category Merchandiser

Provide competitive bakery and deli merchandising solutions for retail formats by researching market conditions to determine potential sales of product or service and retail trends; create sales opportunities through category management and market principles with relation to SKU rationalization, merchandising, and niche market applications; coordinate sales distribution, analyze sales statistics, review market analysis, manage vendor relationships and key retailers; develop annual promotional plan for the category by evaluating items and negotiate deals with vendors; develop, negotiate, and execute regional tactical plans for Category Management programs(pricing, promotion, product, and placement) for the category; communicate with various vendors; prepare budget for program costs as part of campaign plan development; supervise, train, and develop assigned staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred
Three years retail or wholesale experience
Creative marketing skills
Proven negotiation skills
Proven sales skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Aptitude for and interest in financial reporting
Highly proficient in Excel, Word and Access
Proven success in a results driven environment
