This individual serves in the capacity as the Chief Physician Executive of Community Memorial Hospital. Responsibilities include setting strategic direction for community health programs, ensuring physicians are engaged about issues critical to their and the hospital's success (e.g., quality, patient care outcomes, patient service), strengthening relationships between the Medical Staff and the hospital, leading the identification and development of new programs, and acting as a liaison between administration, the hospital staff and the Medical Staff. Oversees and supports the Medical Staff structure, assuring high quality patient care and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Administrative responsibility and accountability for Risk Management, Quality Assurance, Safety and Security, and Infection Control. The Vice President of Medical Affairs is a member of the senior executive team.

MD or DO degree. Board certified or qualified in clinical specialty. MA, MBA or MHA preferred. Must have experience as a practicing physician. Experience should include working knowledge or experience in health care operations. Actual administrative experience preferred but not required. Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, be credible, productive as evidenced by a history of accomplishment, have strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to positively influence people, achieve results, and foster trust. Significant experience in clinical practice and proven clinical skills are required.
