Job Type: Scheduled Full Time
Location: MENOMONEE FALLS, WI
Regular Scheduled Hours: 0800-1630

On Call?:

Responsibilities include assisting the Patient Financial Services Charge Master Manager in the development, support and maintenance of the charge master and all Affinity related infrastructures.

1) Completes set-up of new charge codes and updates to existing charge codes on the Affinity charge master as received by e-mail, faxes, phone calls and inter-office mail.
2) Performs assigned updates to Affinity dictionaries relating to the Patient Financial Services applications and the charge master
3) Prepares and maintains documentation including schedules, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, Access relational data bases and logs as requested. Prepares cross-tab queries to identify errors in the revenue code and HCPCS code override files
4) Performs various analyses using Excel spreadsheets and Access databases by compiling and developing relationships between multiple data sets as directed.
5) Assists in compilation of reference materials to facilitate review of billing issues.
6) Reviews patient accounts on the Affinity system to assist in determining whether claims payment problems are charge master related.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1) Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or information systems. Hospital related experience preferred.
2) Knowledge of typical workflow and day-to-day activities of a Patient Financial Services department normally acquired through 2-3 years experience in a hospital setting.
3) Experience with and/or knowledge of patient admissions, billing and information systems, or applicable work.
4) Computer skills necessary including a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, Access database management, and Internet functionality.
5) Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
