Systems Engineer
Uline, a leading international distributor of packaging & industrial supplies, seeks a Systems Engineer for their Satellite Office in Gurnee, Illinois (south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin).

Corporate Office is moving to Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (Kenosha County) - Spring, 2010.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:

Designs, plans & implements enterprise wide system solutions

Manages & maintains systems and software

Supports server software/hardware & related applications and systems

Designs systems that proactively monitor health & performance of systems and infrastructure

Implements tools to provide analytic trend analysis, capacity planning & performance data

Assists in standardized design of new & existing processes & policies

Documents existing systems architecture & technology portfolio

Researches & recommends emerging technologies to increase cost effectiveness, system ability & future expandability

Acts as a liaison between IT management & remote branches/technicians

Knowledge of Microsoft & Linux Technologies, networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP & remote communications

Understanding & direct experience with Virtualization Techniques & Backup Methods

Knowledge of Database System Management functions & SAN Based storage array configuration

5 + years experience with administering Enterprise Server Environments

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required
