International Compliance Manager
Uline, a leading international distributor of packaging & industrial supplies, seeks an International Compliance Manager for their Corporate Office in Waukegan, Illinois (south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin).

Corporate Office is moving to Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
(Kenosha County) - Spring, 2010.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:

Ensure compliance with U.S., Canada & Mexico import regulations (classification, valuation, quantity, origin declaration & Free Trade Agreement eligibility)

Monitor all import / export documentation & assure compliance to trade laws

Implement internal processes & controls to meet U.S. Customs regulations

Initiate periodic audits / assessments & develop systems to measure compliance

Coordinate U.S. Customs audits / inquiries & work with brokers, agents & attorneys to resolve problems / issues

Ensure timely, accurate payments through the U.S. Customs ACE portal

Recommend import / export compliance regulations / policies & codify into a Policies / Procedures Manual

Solicit NAFTA & other Free Trade Agreement Certificates from vendors & update them on a regular basis

Strong knowledge of NAFTA rules / regulations & international customs issues

Bachelor's Degree & 5 - 7 years experience required
