Today,Roundys Supermarkets is a company of 21,000 employees,approaching $4 billion in annual sales, and undergoing tremendous growth.Company owned and operated supermarkets include Pick n Save stores and Copps Food Centers in Wisconsin and Rainbow Foods in MinnesotaREQUIREMENTS:Bachelors Degree(BA or BS)in accounting from four-year College or university with five to seven years accounting experience.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).Knowledge of GAAP is required.Effective written and verbal communication skills,time management and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs complex cost analyses and audits associated with the company Retail accounting function.Develops and implements accounting policies, procedures,and priorities related to operating activity. Interacts with category managers to properly record procurement income per GAAP.Provides support for perishable and center store physical inventory functions. Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is recorded correctly. Mentors and coaches less-experienced accountant positions, providing functional advice and/or training. Identifies financial accounting opportunities and alternatives to meet company objectives. Reviews and documents accounting practices and procedures.

Interacts with store operations personnel to explain and respond to questions regarding inventory results and inventory controls.
