Job Title Medical Interpreter (Casual) Building Code AK-Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha Address 10400 75th St. City Kenosha # Hours Per Pay Period (Bi-weekly) 0 Schedule Varies Weekend Hours: 6:30am to 6:30am Req # (optional) 64505BR Explore a Career In Interpreter Services Job Description Imagine yourself... *Traveling to various hospitals and clinics in our South Region (Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth Counties) and providing medical interpretation services. *Interpreting Spanish-English in all clinical and diagnostic settings for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and therapists. *Sight-translating medical information and hospital documents from English to Spanish. *Performing clerical tasks including scheduling, filing and data entry. This position is a casual position, has zero assigned hours and is used on an as needed basis to cover various shifts/locations in Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties. Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
*High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's preferred. *Proven linguistic abilities in medical terminology. *Near native fluency in both English and Spanish. *Preferred prior experience as a medical interpreter in a clinical setting. *Understand the medical community's culture and the cultural identity of patients, including age specific considerations. *Basic computer skills needed, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and email. *Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. *Required to travel to other sites. Desired Qualifications *Strongly prefer candidates to have prior experience as a medical interpreter in a clinical setting.
