Job Summary:
The Lead Licensing Contracts & Compliance is responsible for the development and implementation of a licensing business process model to be used in the general merchandise functional business unit. Manage the flows of license contracts and amendments, generating custom reports, complex data analysis, and developing risk assessments. Deliver value to stakeholders as the process owner responsible for establishing and driving continuous improvement of the end-to-end licensing business processes that operate throughout the assigned business unit. Apply in-depth knowledge of licensing operations and audit Compliance process/systems. Oversee the Licensing Management System (LMS) technology solution including maintenance and compliance, internal and external training for end-users, data entry management, managing reporting processes, royalty administration and developing and updating process definitions (SWIs). Develop and implement a governance process to ensure sustainability and adherence to LMS processes over time. Leads through influence by promoting cooperative behavior and team efforts, effectively coordinating activities of cross-functional teams including internal Licensed Product Managers, GM Sourcing, GM Marketing, Legal, IS, GM Finance, and external licensees to ensure compliance with processes and procedures.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or IS preferred. Additional Paralegal certificate or training certificate is a plus.
Experience Required:
Minimum five years demonstrated project management/project implementation experience required. Prior experience with contract management software preferred. Prior experience working on projects with systems implementation preferred. Prior experience with contracts/contract terms affecting product development process and revenue generation (royalty or fee based contracts) preferred. Prior experience with product analysis (SKU rationalization, item productivity & profitability, etc.) preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead through influence to present recommendations to all levels of leadership to mitigate identified risks and deliver results with significant business value for Harley-Davidson Inc. Complex database management experience and experience with MS Access or other database software required.
