METRO (Milwaukee Education & Training Organization)

METRO is Milwaukee’s premiere Information Technology education and training organization.

METRO consists of Milwaukee area Information Technology trainers, managers, coordinators and training vendors. Our members enjoy the following benefits:
•    Discussion regarding eLearning development best practices
•    Monthly speakers and breakout sessions
•    Networking with industry professionals
•    Round table discussions at our monthly meetings
•    Project collaboration with other METRO members

METRO meets on the third Wednesday of every other month at sponsor locations located in the metro Milwaukee area.
A typical meeting agenda includes a breakout session and a speaker.
The breakout sessions are used to discuss the speaker’s topic and how it applies to what we do in our daily job. 

METRO membership costs just $50 annually for each organization.
Once a company becomes a METRO member all of their employees automatically become METRO members.
Students pay annual dues of just $25.
 

 

 


The purpose of METRO is to keep members informed on current Information Systems training topics and to offer members an opportunity to share insights and ideas. Members consist of companies interested in starting or improving their Information Systems training programs.

Member representatives are responsible for all or part of the Information Systems education function. They range from full-time I.S. training coordinators to part-time in-house instructors to managers with strong training interests. Guests are welcome to attend.

Newsletters containing meeting information are mailed monthly to members. For past and future meeting information, see our Newsletters page.

Benefits of joining this organization are to provide members with valuable resources, such as the following necessities.>Exchange information about the latest teaching techniques, methods, and practices that can be used within companies today.
>Meet and network with other educators/trainers in the area who may or may not have an emphasis in Information Systems and find out what they are doing and how they are doing it.
>Contact persons who may be using an idea that would aid others in the group.
>Exchange information about potential training resources or options.

All members have the opportunity at each meeting to ask questions and share issues. Members may suggest solutions, resources, etc. that have worked for them. Vendor members have the opportunity to announce new classes and services.
