Under the specific day to day direction of the Clinical Pharmacist and/or Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor and under the over-all direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the pharmacy intern II is responsible and accountable for the following:
Provision of technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy. May procure, measure, compound, count and deliver medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Management of the drug distribution systems decentrally. Interpretation, transcription and order entry of medication orders into the Pharmacy computer system.
Maintenance of patient data within the computer system and clinical monitoring system.

REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy. Completed DPH 1. Good problem solving skills, time and task management, prioritizing and organizational skills.
Math ability to convert and compute drug concentrations and dosages.
Knowledge of pharmacy legal issues and procedures.
Previous pharmacy experience. Previous experience with computers, preferably using Windows based system. Use of computers for order entry, inventory control, billing and record keeping. Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis. Can stand and walk for extended periods of time.
