Job Title Registered Nurse Call Center Building Code WQ-Aurora Advanced Healthcare, West Mequon Clinic Address 6425 West Mequon Road City Mequon # Hours Per Pay Period (Bi-weekly) 74 Schedule Wk1 Monday 4:45pm to 12am or Friday 4:45pm to 12am, Wk2 Saturday and Sunday 4pm to 12am, and also a 40hr /pay period position of Wk1 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5 to 11pm, Wk2 Friday 5 to 11pm, Saturday and Sunday 8 to 4pm Weekend Hours: Saturday and Sunday 4pm to 12am. Providing telephone triage service, utilizing adult, pediatric and women's health algorithms. Assessing, planing and refering patients to primary care providers, and healthcare facilities after hours. Educating callers and giving immediate care advice to patients. *Performing nursing assessments to triage calls, prioritizing by level of importance and providing guidance to patients. *Performing nursing care based on patient assessment; following physician orders and department policies and protocol. *Collaborating with physicians and health care team members in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient's care. *Providing education and training to patients and staff, responding to emergencies and acts as a resource to other personnel. *Providing guidance to patients regarding health problems, symptoms or concerns. Appropriately triages and refers for intervention. Coordinates care with outside agencies including hospitals, pharmacies, extended care facilities. *Providing scheduling of appointments, procedures, tests and medication refills. *Educating patients on their needs. Skills / Requirements
General Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license granted by the State of Wisconsin. Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in nursing including triaging patients. Knowledge of nursing theory and pathophysiology and care. Demonstrated knowledge of medications. Excellent computer skills. Must have attentive listening skills. Excellent communication, and organizational skills. Telephone communication skills with empathy, respect, restatement, using open-ended questions. Must have the ability to make critical independent decisions, pay close attention to detail and prioritize appropriately. Must have superior customer service skills.
